Kristy Hales

Kristy has expertise in adult, adult congenital & paediatric echocardiography, as well as stress echocardiography and contrast imaging. She has a background in Marine Science and a Masters Degree in Environmental Management to add to the mix. Kristy is passionate about providing excellent patient care & keeping up to date through continued learning.

Luke Warner

Luke is an experienced cardiac sonographer who started working with us back in 2008. He has been trained in adult, adult congenital, paediatric and foetal echocardiography. Luke is known for his precision and patient care. His compassionate approach and dedication to echocardiography make him a valuable member of our team. Luke works fulltime, Monday to Friday, when he’s not at work he likes spending time with his family, surfing and mountain biking.

Montana Duggan

As Cardiac Sonographer and Registered Nurse, Montana thoroughly enjoys her work, performing echocardiograms, stress testing, holter monitoring, electrocardiograms and event telemetry monitoring. She is the president of the NFP Friends of Palliative Care, and in 2022 was named Matilda’s Young Citizen of the year for her contribution to the community. In her spare time, she enjoys her dog Poppy to the beach.

Charlotte Poposki

Charlotte is a dedicated and skilled cardiac sonographer with a passion for providing exceptional patient care. With many years of experience in the field, she excels in performing detailed cardiac ultrasounds in the adult and paediatric population. Charlotte works in our rooms on a Thursday and Friday, and her commitment to continuous learning and easy manner with patients makes her an invaluable asset to the Newcastle Adult and Paediatric Heart Centre team.

Stephen Blume

Stephen holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science and advanced qualifications in Cardiac Sonography, including a Postgraduate and Master’s degree in the field. He has keen interest in cardiac health, particularly paediatric, adult, congenital echocardiographic studies, including contrast echocardiograms. Stephen divides his time between our practice and John Hunter Hospital, and is available here on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Stephen’s approach combines technical expertise with a focus on patient comfort, and he values the clear communication to help patients feel at ease during procedures. He is committed to ongoing learning to stay current with advancements in cardiac sonography and to continually enhance the care he provides.
